About Our Church
OUR CHURCH COMMUNITY
At Stoney Run PFWB Church, our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus Christ into their hearts. We foster a community where we teach individuals to show their love for The Lord and for one another through worship and community service. Members of our church are those who build relationships with our family through community groups, volunteer activities, worship services or learning. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love. We teach the doctrines of our Savior in prayer, and invite you to open up your hearts and allow his grace to penetrate into your soul and being. Pop in today and join our community.
OUR MISSION
Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
~Mark 8:34
We at Stoney Run Church want this fellowship to once again be on the frontline in the struggle for the Faith. We believe that this church should be a Lifeguard Station for lost souls and a source of healing in a lost and dying world. We will boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our homes, professions, and lives.
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
~John 4:35
Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
One God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ — the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary. He died for our sins, was buried, rose again, and ascended to Heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor.
Sin and Repentance
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins.
Justification by Faith
We believe that we are justified by faith, and that regeneration — or the new birth — through faith in the blood of Christ is essential.
Sanctification
We believe sanctification follows regeneration and is a definite act of grace, received by faith by those who are fully justified.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Pentecostal baptism of the Holy Spirit as an endowment of power for those with clean hearts. The initial evidence of this experience is speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
Water Baptism
We believe the saved should receive water baptism in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as a public declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ.
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing as provided through Christ’s atonement.
The Lord’s Supper
We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper as a commemoration of Christ’s death and anticipation of His return. We also observe feet washing as a symbol of humility and service.
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal, pre-millennial second coming of Christ — to resurrect the righteous dead, catch away the living saints to meet Him in the air, and to reign with His saints on earth for a thousand years
